It would be awesome to share your tracks with your friends on different social platforms like Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp and so on. Therefore we should implement a sharing feature where the user can select which stats will be shared and post it on the selected platform as an image.

AI is currently everywhere. But it has really some major benefits if it comes to recognizing different states. Trained correctly it can boost our ability to identify bad GPS points and improve the recognition of runs and lift rides even further.

Screen Overlay

To improve the user experience a screen overlay would be a cool feature.

This overlay should show the most important statistics like the current tracking time, the current speed and altitude as well the current total downhill distance. Also it should feature the stop button to stop the tracking.

The overlay itself helps the user to stay up to date, while using some other app e.g. spotify.

Map caching

To provide an improved offline experience we will introduce a cache for the map data. This cache will automatically save the map areas you have visited and reduce the mobile data usage of your phone. Also it will enable you, once the map area was cached, to view your map without any mobile data connection.

IPhone release

Next to the android release an IPhone release is planned for the upcoming year. The IPhone app will be released and maintained to provide the same feature set as the android app.

Import/Export improvements

Importing data from other apps or backup your own data should be done effortless. Therefore we will introduce the zip im-/export and implement the multi file export.

This improvement will introduce the following features:

Import GPX data stored in zip files
Multi export for recorded sessions into a zip file

Friends feature

This feature will introduce the ability to add friends to your current session. With that you will always see where your friends are currently at. Get live updates about their statistics and many things more.

Edit tracks

Sometimes it is necessary to adjust the recently recorded tracking. For example if you miss to stop your tracking while driving home. This will lead to to much location points and wrong calculated numbers.
Therefore we should implement an edit feature, where we can adjust the first and last tracking point.

Battery improvements

We already have a pretty optimized battery usage for the tracking while the app is running in the background. But we think we can push it even further and going to test some ideas to continuously improve the battery usage.

Additional area information

See where you have been. Get additional information to your recorded session. The area information will group your sessions automatically and help you to find your data easily.
